Highway Herald Ministries (HHM) was founded in 2018 by Peter Reins.

With 21 years of service and counting, Peter serves as a chaplain in the US Army Reserve. During his service, God blessed Peter to take the gospel abroad to Soldiers in the towns of Germany and Italy, the seaports in Belgium, the forests in Poland, the fields of Hungary, the Black Sea coast of Romania, the desert in Kuwait and the mountains in Afghanistan. While deployed in the Middle East, Peter came across a book called The Life and Times of John Calvin: with an Earnest Appeal to Bible Christians for the Adoption of Open-Air Preaching, by C. W.  Banks. Never before hearing of the ancient evangelistic method of open-air preaching, this intrigued Peter and he searched the Scriptures, discovering a plethora of examples of open-air preachers heralding the gospel to a dying world. Convinced of this, Peter prayerfully considered taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the streets.

HHM is accountable to the elders at Riverside Christian Fellowship in Hernando, FL, where Peter serves as the Associate Pastor.
